COLONEL (DR.) MATT HANSON

Col. (Dr.) Matt Hanson is the Commander, 460th Medical Group, Buckley AFB, Colorado. He leads a staff of 180 medical professionals in the delivery of Primary Care, Aerospace Medicine, Mental Health, Optometry, Physical Therapy, Public Health, Bioenvironmental Engineering, Clinical Laboratory, Pharmacy, Medical Logistics, Medical Emergency Response and the full range of Medical Support capabilities. These health services enhance the health and readiness of 460th Space Wing personnel, Buckley mission partners and their families.

Col. Hanson has been assigned to command, clinical and operational medicine positions. He has served as the Deputy Director of the Theater Patient Movement Requirements Center for both EUCOM and AFRICOM, Commander of the 579th Medical Operations Squadron at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and most recently as the Chief of the Expeditionary Medical Readiness Division at the Air Force Medical Support Agency.
