8/29/2012 - BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Team Buckley members have the opportunity to show off their physical prowess during the 4th Annual Adventure Man Race, an extreme 5K dash complete with unique obstacles, scheduled for 8 a.m. Sept. 6 at Lake Williams.
The race is open to anyone above the age of 16 with access to Buckley. In addition, the event is free with no personal equipment required.
According to Darius Johnson, Buckley Fitness Center recreation assistant, the top male and female participants will receive recognition for their performance in the race. Also, the obstacles will remain secret until race day, but previous hurdles included a medicine-ball run, ammo-can lift and paintball-shooting challenge.
To participate in the race, register at the Buckley Fitness Center front desk. Volunteers are needed for the event. For those interested in volunteering or for more information, contact Johnson at (720) 847-6679.
