Retiree Activities Office seeks volunteers

BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The Retiree Activities Office is a one-stop shop for retirees of all military branches and their family members, and it's currently looking for volunteers to help its mission here.

The office offers information, counseling and referrals on retiree benefits, casualty assistance, TRICARE information and assistance, entitlements, programs, on-base functions and base facilities.

"A few hours each week or even once a month at the Buckley AFB Retiree (Activities) Office could make a world of difference," said ret. Chief Master Sgt. Bob VanSciver, retiree affairs director.

The office will provide all necessary training, and volunteers can always refer customers to subject matter experts.

The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., except holidays, and anyone can volunteer.

Those who are interested should call 720-847-6693 or e-mail RAO@buckley.af.mil.
